 Understanding the socioeconomic disadvantages and emotional instability that a child can face due to their parent’s confinement, our organization has established a vigilant concentration on supporting the families of individuals who are currently incarcerated. This objective is accomplished through a variety of  initiatives. 

 Recognizing the numerous advantages of children maintaining the close and continuous support of both parents, our organization will make transportation arrangements for families who would otherwise be unable to travel with their children for monthly visits with an incarcerated parent. This will assist in allowing the children an opportunity to spend time with their parent as well as provide us an opportunity to use the time spent with families to educate at risk teens on prevention of following in their parent’s footsteps.

A Vision of Redemption (AVOR) seeks to break this cycle by providing transitional housing and wraparound services at our 40-bed facility at 2107 W Tioga Street, Philadelphia, PA. Our faith-based program offers a structured environment focused on housing, education, employment, addiction recovery, and family reunification.
